Finally our cd in duo, Salvatore Maiore and me is out: Pequenas flores do inferno, which means "small flowers from hell"...and I think that the title is a good resume of what you'll find in the music.
The label is "El gallo rojo records", a well known name now in the italian jazz field.

Hi everybody,
After a wonderful week of concert that ended up sunday with a nice gig in Verona with Enrico Terragnoli and his Orchestra Vertical here are some more gigs coming.
This time it's like a mini tour as guest with Enten Eller Project, lead by drummer Massimo Barbiero.
We will play on wednesday 28th in Montevarchi, then the day after an afternoon gig (at 7pm) il Torino, at the Parco della Valentina, and ending up on saturday at the Jazz festival of Pavone Canavese.
On sunday, on the way home, I'll stop by Treviso to take part of a recording for Velut luna label, a series of fine arrangements for orchestra by composer and pianist Oscar del Barba, more infoes on next posts

Hi everybody,
Things are moving a bit more than last month, a lot of new projects that I will discuss about in the coming posts. Here are some of the gigs I'll have in march:
19th at Altamura: "Più su...d" , a special project by drummer Tonino Dambrosio, featuring string quartet and me, dedicated to poet Rocco Scotellaro
21st: same thing will happen in Tricarico, where Rocco Scotellaro worked as major of the town.
On the 20th this project will be recorded and a cd will be released.
24th: Soresina (Cremona) a concert with Giancarlo Tossani's Synapser quartet, at 7pm
25th in Pordenone, with Synapser also
26th in Fidenza with songwriter Francesco Camattini
27th in Brescia, with Simone Guiducci and Gramelot ensemble
On march 29th and 30th I'll be recording a new project with "tirodarco" group, a nice string trio (Dimitri Sillato on violin, Salvatore Maiore on cello and Roberto Bartoli on double bass); more info about that in next posts.

Sorry for posting it so late, but a  couple of months ago a new cd was released from El Gallo Rojo Label: Todo Chueco, by the good bass player Danilo Gallo.
Featuring, beside me mostly on bass clarinet, Trombonist Gerard Gschloss, Zeno De Rossi on Drums, Danilo Gallo himself and a bunch of wonderful musicians, such as Enrico Terragnoli, Giorgio Pacorig, Nicola Fazzini, Daniele D'Agaro, U.T.Gandhi and Piero Bittol Bon...definitely a cd you can't miss!

Some more informations about my activities in January:

This month  I'll be in the studio to record two nice projects: one is about an audiobook with excerpts of Antonio Tabucchi; this project will feature Olivia Sellerio on voice, Piero Leveratto, who is the leader on bass, Sandro Gibellini on guitar,  Mauro Beggio on drums and me on alto sax, bass clarinet but also on regular clarinet.
This audio book will come out with newsmagazine "Espresso"; I will keep update about it.

The other recording will be with the quintet of Paolino Dalla Porta; this new cd of one of the best italian bass players will feature Gianluca Petrella on trombone, Roberto Cecchetto on guitar, Paolino, Morten Lund on drums and me.
I don't know yet with which label will come out, as for the other project I'll keep you updated.
