Busy summer

Hi everybody,
Some problems with computer and busy summer didn't allow me to write you since july...
Well here I am, telling you I had wonderful time in Sardinia, playing at Nuoro Jazz Festival with Ettore Fioravanti "Belcanto" group and with "Urban Raga" project by Paolino Dalla Porta.
This afternoon I'll be in Fidenza, with great bass player Salvatore Maiore, just a short performance from 4,30 to 5pm introducing the "Liliput" festival.
A big thing will also take place tomorrow, september 3rd: I'll be playing with my project "Shiva's Dance" at the Venice international film festival, during the presentation of the movie "Family Portrait", by MOBTIED.
That's going to be a pretty thing, since we will play at the Hotel Villa Laguna, on the Lido part of Venice.
Check also out the concert of Monday 4th at Altamura, with the ensemble of Tonino Dambrosio, music and words dedicated to famous poet Rocco Scotellaro, from Tricarico.

A week of gigs and more

Hi everybody,trottola
An intense week is approaching:
First of all it will take place the recording of the second cd by the ORNETTIANS, lead by drummer Tiziano Tononi. But during those recording days there will be some gigs coming out:
tuesday 20th at the LAVABO in Vignola(Modena): Disinibitols group with John De Leo on voice.
Thursday 22nd at the Iper Montebello, in Milan: concert with Paolino Dalla Porta and URBAN RAGA project
Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th there will take place two gigs with nice piano player and composer Thierry De Micheaux at the Festival de Saint Denis. That's an important festival, and I'm very happy and proud that Thierry asked me to join his group in this occasion.
Last but not least, coming back from Paris on sunday 25th I'll have a gig with very nice Orchestra Vertical lead by guitar player Enrico Terragnoli, in Verona; check ElGalloRojo for further news.
Well, hope to meet you somewhere on those concerts!

Upcoming recording sessions

  carillon
Hallo Everybody,
Some more informations about my activities in January:

This month  I'll be in the studio to record two nice projects: one is about an audiobook with excerpts of Antonio Tabucchi; this project will feature Olivia Sellerio on voice, Piero Leveratto, who is the leader on bass, Sandro Gibellini on guitar,  Mauro Beggio on drums and me on alto sax, bass clarinet but also on regular clarinet.
This audio book will come out with newsmagazine "Espresso"; I will keep update about it.

The other recording will be with the quintet of Paolino Dalla Porta; this new cd of one of the best italian bass players will feature Gianluca Petrella on trombone, Roberto Cecchetto on guitar, Paolino, Morten Lund on drums and me.
I don't know yet with which label will come out, as for the other project I'll keep you updated.
