Finally our cd in duo, Salvatore Maiore and me is out: Pequenas flores do inferno, which means "small flowers from hell"...and I think that the title is a good resume of what you'll find in the music.
The label is "El gallo rojo records", a well known name now in the italian jazz field.

Hi everybody,
A fine gig will take place in Molfetta tomorrow, september 22nd: this time I'll be with the band of this fine sax player from Bari, European Sound Project  leaded by Felice Mezzina.
The place is called Dvorak, and you can check the link on how to get there.
 Together with Felice Mezzina and me as guest there will be also:

Roberto Inciardi - Contrabasso
Franco Guarnieri - Batteria
Snow is the name of the cd released some time ago.

Next week more gigs coming on:
On the 28th finally there will be the FIRST gig of "Gallo and the Roosters", leaded by Danilo Gallo.This group is part of the "El Gallo Rojo" association. and a cd was released some time ago: Todo Chueco.
this will happen in Garda, on the lake, close to Verona; before the "Roosters" there will be a short performance of our duo, together with Bass player Salvatore Maiore.
It will be a good chance to introduce our first cd work, also released by El Gallo Rojo Label: Pequenas flores do inferno.
This I'll introduce later on  on this blog...as soon as I'll have time!

Last but not least on september 30th, in Adria, a gig with the Fabio Petretti project: "Mozart in Jazz", which is the name of the new cd that come out recently. This is about Fabio's "Trip sax quartet" playing arrangements of Mozart's compositions in a Jazz way.

"Teoria e pratica dell’improvvisazione strumentale (clarinetto)" willl be the name of the topic I will cover from this year at the Conservatory of Ferrara, for the three years Jazz Music curriculum.
Together with me there will be a staff of well known teachers and musicians, such as Ares Tavolazzi, Roberto Rossi and many others.
Check out the Ferrara Conservatory website for further infoes, the enrollment deadline is october 30th.
I'm very happy about that and looking forward to start the classes!

Hi everybody, Not much to sai about gigs in this middle september... But something is going on around Puglia: tomorrow, saturday 17th there will be a performance of poetry and music dedicated to poet Rocco Scotellaro in Ruvo di Puglia; all the music is composed by Tonino Dambrosio. Hi everybody,
Some problems with computer and busy summer didn't allow me to write you since july...
Well here I am, telling you I had wonderful time in Sardinia, playing at Nuoro Jazz Festival with Ettore Fioravanti "Belcanto" group and with "Urban Raga" project by Paolino Dalla Porta.
This afternoon I'll be in Fidenza, with great bass player Salvatore Maiore, just a short performance from 4,30 to 5pm introducing the "Liliput" festival.
A big thing will also take place tomorrow, september 3rd: I'll be playing with my project "Shiva's Dance" at the Venice international film festival, during the presentation of the movie "Family Portrait", by MOBTIED.
That's going to be a pretty thing, since we will play at the Hotel Villa Laguna, on the Lido part of Venice.
Check also out the concert of Monday 4th at Altamura, with the ensemble of Tonino Dambrosio, music and words dedicated to famous poet Rocco Scotellaro, from Tricarico.

July 20th 2006  S.Polo dei Cavalieri. Piazza G. MARCONI.
Then on the 21th there will be finally the first concert of my ensemble, "terra" in Marone, close to Iseo lake, at the Iseo Jazz festival.
Last but not least a gig with a new project at Legnano, Clusone Jazz festival, with Garrison Fewell on guitar and Umberto Petrin on piano.
Then I'll see you in Siena Jazz summer workshops: in fact I'll be there fron july 24th till august 7th, with some gigs coming:
Ettore Fioravanti "Belcanto" at the Enoteca on the 27th.
Again my ensemble at Buonconvento, on august 1st.

A great piano player, but specially a great human being.
Well, Angelo passed away yesterday in a car accident, I don't have words.and it's very wierd to go and see the activities, the projects, the hard work he did now that he is not among us anymore.
We are always looking at the future, through our love for music we try to give a sense to our life and suddendly everything stops when we are giving the best of ourselves, every sense canceled in less than one second.
I can only forward to you the link of Maurizio Rolli, they have been plying together for more than 12 years,  is talking about him and giving more informations.
Sorry for this post, it's difficult to put words together when those things happen.

The gig will take place in Lavagno, Verona, at Villa Fraccaroli. hope to meet you there!

Hi everybody,
After a wonderful week of concert that ended up sunday with a nice gig in Verona with Enrico Terragnoli and his Orchestra Vertical here are some more gigs coming.
This time it's like a mini tour as guest with Enten Eller Project, lead by drummer Massimo Barbiero.
We will play on wednesday 28th in Montevarchi, then the day after an afternoon gig (at 7pm) il Torino, at the Parco della Valentina, and ending up on saturday at the Jazz festival of Pavone Canavese.
On sunday, on the way home, I'll stop by Treviso to take part of a recording for Velut luna label, a series of fine arrangements for orchestra by composer and pianist Oscar del Barba, more infoes on next posts
